Deliverables
A themeable and multi-platform design system built with Web Components
Role
Lead UX designer and assistant developer
A themeable design system for DISQO’s enterprise and consumer SASS products built on multiple platforms.
To improve consistency and accessibility, streamline development, and ultimately enhance the overall user experience.
Using tokens in a design system ensures consistency, scalability, and efficiency across all digital products. Tokens are standardized variables—like colors, typography, and spacing—that maintain a unified visual language. They allow for quick, system-wide updates, saving time and minimizing errors. Tokens also create a common language between designers and developers, streamlining collaboration and making it easier to build cohesive, adaptable digital experiences.
A component library is a collection of reusable UI elements like buttons, forms, and navigation bars, designed to ensure a consistent and cohesive user interface. Each component uses the above tokens to maintain visual harmony and aligning perfectly with your brand’s identity.
This library represents just a small subset of the 40+ components and hundreds of variants I designed to meet the diverse needs of DISQO’s different products.
Jonathon is an exceptional systems designer with a unique talent for bridging design and engineering, enabling seamless collaboration across teams. His contributions at DISQO significantly improved the efficiency and speed of our processes, while unifying our product vision and driving growth.
